My car wont move after Control arm install
Wassup Guys. I had my boy today replace my front end suspension. I replaced both control arms, stabilizer links and tie rods. After installation, I drove down the block fine but then when I stop at the stop sign. I turn my wheel to the right and wen i hit the gas, the car jus rev and u here this whooooooooooooo sound as if like my axle or somethign is spinning mad fast. So i left the spinning sound slow down on it own. So i put it in neutral then i put it back in drive and did it again. SO i then, turned off the car and put it in neutral. I pushed it to the side of the road, call my boy. When my boy came he was liek start it again and put it in drive, it started working back fine liek nothing wrong. He test drove it and was well. I drove home great, then right in front my house i was makign a u turn. I turn my wheel all the way to the left and start to make the turn and it happened again. SO i all i did was jus push it in the side. What u think it is. I dont think its the tranny at all. My boy thinks its the wheel bearing on the driver side, bc he said it was so rusty inside it.
A little more information might help on this, but...
I assume yer boy removed one or more of the axles when doing your control arm swap. It's not necessary to remove it, but it's common. My guess is that the Axle is not completely seated in the transmission. There are two places to look.
1) You would need to make sure the Axle to tightened down completely in the spindle an that there is a castle nut and cotter pin in it.
2) Look at where it goes back into the transmission, there should be no space between the collar on the Axle itself and transmission.
For extra credit, you could get the car on a lift and turn the wheels side to side and see if there is also a problem with the Axle--like if the CV joint was damaged during the removal.
Again, all this assumes the axles was removed for this. You can also check the trans fluid level.
If you can get it done for free--have him remove the axle and re-seat it in the transmission. The reason it's effecting both wheels is due to the open differential.
The fastest way to check is jack up the car with both wheels off the ground, put the car in neutral and spin one wheel by hand. The other should spin in the opposite direction--that means your differential is working. for YOUR problem, so this, but turn the wheels all the way to the right and then all the way to the left while spinning.
Good luck. If this doesn't work, then give more info on what work was done and replaced and what brand parts were used.

The CV joint inside the boot has most likely seperated from the axle shaft. If you look closely at both sides you will probaby see which side is spinning. One of the hubs/axles will have been hard to put together as well. Can you remember which side did that when it was put back together?
It's a dirty job fixing it, but can be easily done. You will need to open up the boot and get the joint back onto the spline shaft. Add a little new grease, close the boot and put a new band on it.

Jus wana say thanks to everyone. It was my driver side axle. The dam axle was split in and and the axle slipped out. Got it fixed and ready to go. Jus need a damn wheel alignment
