Just wondering if anyone knows if this was possible from the factory: gray leather? Or could the black leather be seen possibly as a dark gray?

 

I don't think grey leather was offered but I could be wrong. I know for sure that grey cloth was.

 

Nissan DID have gray leather on 97 max's Brian V has it. I think it was just avalible on sage mist cars though. It looks nice. Go to his sight and see it.

You can always get some aftermarket grey leather interior which is superior to a nissan one.

 

I've got grey leather. I've got a white '97 GLE maxima. I believe its factory leather. I bought the car used from a dealership. It has all the characteristics of the typical maxima factory leather that people complain about. So I'm guessing its genuine

 

hmm, i dont know. I think Brian V has what is called "frost" I didn't think they made it on 4th gens but I believe that is what he has... Frost or just really light grey...

 

Alot of people mistake the leather in my car as gray. The color is what Nissan calls sereno. Sage Mist colored Maximas will have it if they have leather. The actual color is a greenish grey.

I've got a 97 SE, sage mist exterior with grey leather interior. It looks great!!!! I think it looks much better than the black. Not as dark. BTW, 79,000+ and everytime I get in it and drive it I think I'm the luckiest guy around Now for some mods, Kuhmos, H&Rs, AGXs and a Stillen RSB.
