Timing cover gasket

My timing cover is pissing! I looked up the book time on it and its 9 effing hours! Anybody have and tricks or hints at getting this done quicker?

its not a job i would really rush through. just make sure both mating surfaces are thoroghly clean off all oil and old gasket material. just take your time so you dont have to do it twice.

Not really, it's relatively straightforward; remove anything and everything that would obstruct it's path coming out, remove all of the bolts (including the two hidden in the upper oil pan), yank it out of there. Not much can make you quicker but experience.
