quick ? about intakes.

Hey guys. Did some searching but couldn't come up with an answer. Even asked the guys selling them in the for sale forum but no luck. I have a 95max but I know somebody that knows somebody that knows somebody(lol) that can get me an injen intake for a good deal. Problem is...It's the intake for the 98-99 max. Question is will this still work for my max? Anybody know the differecen between the intakes systems for 95-97 and 98-99. Just trying to see if I can make this work and save a little money. Thanks

IAT is different.

Injen sucks for all A32's equally though, so don't worry.

As pmohr said above, the location of the IAT is different from 95-97 and 98-99. It is attached near the MAF on the 98-99 where on the 95-97 is it attached to the airbox.

Do not get the Injen. It sucks bad!!!!! Either stay stock or go on Ebay and get the Place Racing clones, and just use the bottom pipe. Stock midpipe with the bottom pipe going into fender will work the best. Just get a K&N filter to go with it.

Thanks for clearing that up for me guys. I've been searching...there is even a thread going on now about intakes. I've seen pics of intakes in the fender behind the batt. But which intakes have the pipe running infront of the motor all the way to the other fender? Or do I just dont know what Im talking about. lol

Here is the one I have, most on ebay look like this. Just remember that they do not come with instructions, you have to drill a 3" hole. Since you are in the bham area too, I could help you.http://www.k2motor.com/afcmax95.html

Yeah that looks like a good one. Good to see bham orgers on. I plan on getting one this week so maybe next week we could meet up and install. Would be great to have help from someone who has already done the mod.
