Ok so this morning it was kind of chilly out so I turn on the heat, and the fan to 4, just some cool air, I figured it needed to warm up. Leave it on for most of my commute to work, nothing. Warm air does come in, but its like you have the fan on OFF. I switch it to cold, just cool air like you have the fan on OFF. Try the AC no light. All the other buttons work just fine. I checked all the wires behind the dash and they are all pushed in.....

Any ideas?

is it auto climate contol??? you said you tried the a/c and no light which sounds like manual contol.
if it is auto did you check fuses? (hell even if its not auto)

 

Yeah I checked all the fuses. They are all good. Yes its manual

 

Hell, the units are dirt cheap on the board here. I sold 2 for $25 shipped each. If I were you I would just pick up a new CC and give it a go.

here is a dumb question. when you turned on the AC, was the fan on also? (AC light wont come on unless the fan is actualy going). last time you did a coolant system flush?

 

Yeah there is no light. The fan is on 4 I get nothing, no air is coming through the vents.

I have not done a coolant system flush on this car, and I have had it for four years now.

I think I may have screwed it up when I put in my ipod adapter like 3 weeks ago. Because that was the last time I opened the center console. And I haven't used either heat or ac after that, its been nice out lately.

 

Haha, if I did I would have given you one to test it out on. They sold like hot cakes... Although check the 4th gen f/s forum as a lot of people have been parting out cars lately.

 

do you mean the fan comes on but you get no sir blowing out of the vents?
if so do you get air out of the floor vents and/or defrost vents?

what I am getting at is maybe a vacume line is off. I have to be honest , I am only guessing that they use vacume to contol such functions as vent and blend air doors and the such...i dont know specifics for that system in these year maximas,but it sure starting to sound like a vac line is off. maybe even somewhere under the hood, of course this doesnt account for the no a/c light!

I get absolutely nothing. No noise at all.

 

IMO sounds light a bad cc. check on the for sale section...you should find one for cheap, swap it out and see what happens. let us know how it goes....ill take a look and see if i have a spare laying around. If i do ill pm you and just pay the shipping.
