Anyone made a heat shield for their JWT-style intake?

Has anyone considered making a heat sheild for their intake?

Ive been pondering this thing for a while now and I cant figure out where to start, what to block and what to make it out of, oh and how to hold it up.

Anyone have ANYTHING they can share?

ANYTHING??? hmmmmm...

i was trying to do the same thing but couldn't figure it out, so I just put in a 2" tube from under my cone intake and routed it through a cut hole in the front wheel well and under the front lip. I attatched the tube to a funnel and a black scoop (a rain gutter joint) and then screened it off to filter out bugs and stuff. so essentially, i have a scoop under my car that scoops cold air into my engine bay directly under my filter....and it actually works! after driving some 20 minutes, I opened the hood and felt my filter and instead of it being hot, it was actually cold!

i'll post pics later...sorry 'bout the book.
