i lowered my car a few days ago .......i now have a noise from the front on the passenger side......so i did what it said in this post and wrapped the spring with the electrical wrap but it did not stop.....so i made my friend turn the wheel while i listened and the noise is coming from the top of the strut ..it sounds like a grinding noise......does anyone no what this might be?.......i no this was covered already but it didnt answer this question!!!

one of the problems could be the struts cap, where the top of the springs sit, there is rubber cap between springs and the strut cap. all i can say is that the rubber cap might have worn out.

 

also try the IMPORTANT:change suspension/noise from suspension sticky.

 

1) Did you put new strut bearings in?

2) If not did you make sure your old ones were good?

3) Did you put the strut bearing in the correct way?

4) Did you use a torque wrench to tighten everything up?

5) Did you use the wire wrap on both the top and bottom coils of your springs?


Make sure you have NO METAL TO METAL contact. This includes the lower spring seat on the strut.
