Any New Developments?

I've been out of the scene for a couple of years now, but maybe some of the old school guys will remember me. I'm just checking back in because I finally have access to the .org again at work (previous job blocked it) and I'm at work all day so it's the only time I can check. Anyways, for those who remember, I used to be the aluminum dash kit/floor mat guy before I sold the business. And I had what used to be considered one of the more modified 4th gens around here.

I'm just curious in the 2 years since I've regularly checked the .org and over a year since I sold my Maxima to another member; have there been any new developments for 4th gens? I mean other than some new style of eBay headlight or whatnot. For instance, I went from nitrous to supercharger+nitrous to turbo, then turbo+nitrous. Stock injectors+FMU to 370cc's to 660cc's and so on. Stock brakes to 300ZX brakes then Cobra rotors. It seemed as if we were always figuring out something new and it was exciting. Is that still the case? Or has everyone moved on? I know that almost all the other people I knew from back then have moved on as have I. I now drive an IS350, but it's stock and I don't think I'll ever take it as far as I did the Maxima.

So let me know what's new around these parts. Thanks.

Nothing insanely new in the perf. dept.
Couple of Rear mount turbo guys and some boosted 3.5s.
I guess the newest power adders are the intake spacers,..

Pretty cool, it's good to see that some people are still doing new things. It was just that when I revisited the .org after the long break, all I see are people debating grills and such. And it was the same stuff that we were talking about back in '99.

Advanced forum helps us get away from all that grille talk.

Neither of my Maximas have a 'grille'.

Grills are for

nice to see you back.

And the guy that bought your S/C kit had long since sold that and his car.

Welcome back Shadow.

If this becomes commercially available this will be the biggest development for the maxima since the MEVI was discovered. So like the biggest thing in the last 5-6 years, in my opinion.

That is really cool. I would have loved to have something like that when I had the max, maybe I would have been able to get a better tune and better drivability. It would be so much better than all the bandaids and workarounds that people have to do now because there are no other options.

Thanks, the color on the car is actually the 2nd paintjob. My car actually started as sage mist green. Then we went to the Lexus blue, then we did some more bodywork and went with the custom blue. It was actually a metallic blue and then blue candy was sprayed over it along with silver pearl. So in sunlight, it looks like this.

And the site in the sig used to be mine. That was my company; and then I sold it a few years back. I just never bothered to change the sig. But then again, I like the new owners so a free plug for them isn't so bad.

I think the biggest thing is the 3.5 drop in. It has been perfected and is starting to get cheaper than finding a low mileage 3.0L.
