NEW AXLES NEED ALIGNMENT AFTER???

I put new axles in the other day and clicking is definitely gone and it feels much tighter but car seems to have this shake when turning wheels either way and accelerating??

Possible Toe could change?

i removed shock bolts not balljoints.

You messed with your suspension, thereby requiring an alignment.

$90 is highway robbery. You can find a shop that will do the whole front end for $50, just look around.

Not VT lol 2 shops in town with alignment machines lol $120 for 4 wheel.

Wassick Tire, Midas

You ever seen a thrown alignment cause wheel shake??

isnt tires cause wasnt til after axles and there not cheap remans so not that either?????

Driving me nuts spent days on axles because of that stupid *** c clip getting stuck and then it fell in the trans so i had to pull gear selector plug and fish with a magnet for a day. Now its back together and shaking Arghh, was a lil shaky after i replaced passenger axle a few days b4 but now its worse after replacing drivers.

i cant see a bad alignment causing a wheel shake. you messed with the suspension you need an alignment.the shake could be a cheap axle. but try and get the wheels balanced first.

Any work involving the suspension should be followed up by an alignment. $90 seems high for just the front, I'd check around.

U SHOULD get an alignment first, If u take the lower two bolts of the suspension, it will in most cases throw u off alignment, unless u are not lowered u might be able to get away with it. But yes unaligned wheels can cause shaking. The back cant be adjusted for alignment anyways so u should NOT get charged for a 4 wheel alignment, cause they only do the front, they might hook the machine up to the back too, but theres nothing they can do to it except rip u off.

All he did was replace axles. I just did the same thing, and I have no issues. Make sure everything's secure and that you didn't miss anything, first.

You STILL need an alignment. Being off by 1 degree may not feel a whole lot different, but it sure will make your tires wear faster, and will affect the handling of the car. You cannot eyeball it.

^^right you might not "feel" 1 deg. of camber but it will chew up your tires and well ,one degree of toe is another story. +1

I just replaced my axles as well. I don't notice any difference, but I'm lowering my car within the next couple weeks. Till then, I'll wait for the alignment

I would say your fine without doing an alignment if everything was recently done. if yhou havnt had an alignment for awhile I would get one done.
