question about an intake install on 95 maixma

I recently bought this intake from ebay (please dont flame me, i just got it for the sound)

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...m=320267591099

I pretty much have a good general idea on how to install it but only have 1 concern. I know there are 2 sensors: one is on the maf and the other is inside the stock airbox...

Well, i cant seem to figure out where to put that air sensor ( the one inside the stock air box) in an intake... does anyone know?

Any help would be appreciated, thanx

on my other car, the sensor was sewn (don't laugh!) on the inside of the filter; the cable was "strangled" between the filter's "collar" and the intake tubing

I hope this helps!

i just fixed this problem...ive got a 95 maxima
i took the air temp sensor and kept the bottom of the air box on my car and have it bolted onto that. seems to be the best thing hope i helped.

btw if you dont wanna ghetto it the car will run fine with out the sensor your engine light will just be on

Worst case scenario, drill a hole and mount the IAT in the piping between the filter and the MAF. If you do it between the MAF and the TB, you'll need to devise a way to create a seal around the sensor. A much better option than what was suggested before.

Driving with your CEL, when you can actually easily prevent it from coming on is retarded.

actually, i once did it, and the check engine was on and my temp gauge in the car stopped working... so the gauge was showing that the car was cold even if its warmed up

Fawk the IAT sensor because it doesn't affect anything. Let it dangle or tuck it away somewhere.

While viewing data on a Nissan Consult II, timing was not affected even when the IAT temp went from around 40F to over 110F.
