Knock Sensor on 99 GLE

My mech told me I was throwing a KS code. I got a harness from Courtesy Nissan, and a KS from eBay.

I noticed that a lot of people paid around $100+ for their KS, and I got mine for $52 shipped. The part is in a sealed Nissan bag and has the correct part #.

Apparently he is selling a lot of sensors, but the price seems to good to be true. Have you heard of people selling bogus "geninune" knock-off parts before?

Here is a link to one of his listings.

Unfortunatly, I have a cali-spec car (and bought it in Virginia). The emissions stuff is blocking all access to KS, so I'm going to take it to a mech I really trust and will bill me for actual time to go the manifold route instead of book time.

if it has the correct parts numbers and such then whats the problem? as long as it works. besides, its not like the knock sensor is that HUGE of a thing anyways. ive heard of people sanding down the ground point for their KS and running the highest octane gas they can find and comeing out with better resultas than when they were using their KS.

Did you install this sensor and is it working alright? I need one and am finding prices of $172 at Advance Auto and $174 at Nissan. NAPA sells one for $203 and another for a whopping $313. If this is truly a good part I'm in...

Not yet. I'm bringing the car in to the shop this week.
