Try Ted's Montana Grill downtown Atlanta. The roof top bar at the Glenn Hotel is really hopping.

My mileage has gone down with age. Used to get 28 mpg easy at 72 mph cruise, now only about 25. But it's an 11 y.o. car.....never failed to start once in its entire life!
Now the spread between 87 and 89 is only 10 cents or about 2% more. In terms of MPG, 2% is only 0.4-0.5 miles. If the car runs in higher timing advance on 89, it may recover the extra 10 cent per gallon. I would go ahead and use 89 or 91.

That same 10 cent at $2 per gallon would be 5% extra.

I am also moving from Buffalo, NY to Houston in a couple of weeks- 1600 miles of driving with my Max (160k on odo).... I am also thinking of putting premium gas during the trip.... hopefully my the car doesn't die out on me! I usually get ~410 miles on the highway with 89 octane.

Any suggestions on what to check on my car before I head out?

The normal stuff:

Oil, water and other fluids
Good tires, good brakes, inspect the hoses
Inspect the water hoses and drive belts
Make use the electrical cables are free of corrosion and battery, alternator are good.

Buffalo is very hard on cars due to corrosion and cold winter. Houston you need good A/C. Norcal is very easy on cars.

I am heading out on a three days trip this morning but the car is in good shape.
