Anyone know what this is?

So i was draining and filling my transmission, and as I was cleaning up I found this on the ground:




Question: Does anyone know what this is? and is it important?

One of your electrical connectors. Just look around for some bare wires. I would put my money on it being important if it fell off your car. Usually connectors aren't on there for aesthetics.

Hmm, I am not familiar with that connector off the top of my head. Start the car up and see what check engine light code it throws.

ok i THINK i might know... the horns have a funnel or spout pointing down like that so water doesn't get into them...

Looks like a boot that goes on the starter. Check the solenoid, most likely there.

It is one of these, from the horn, looks exactly like it anyway. Its from where my index finger is in the pic. Theres one at the front of the car too.
