I have a 96 maxima and my windows and doors will not lock with the automatic controls on the driver side door, I believe because water got to the control.

My remote to the car will unlock the passenger and two rear doors, but not the driver side. I cannot lower any of my windows with any of the door controls.

Fuse's have been checked.

Is it likely water damaged and can I replace the driver side controls?

 

You can replace the controls. Look on ebay or in the 4th gen parts section to try to see if someone is parting out their car. I've seen someone who ruined theirs and the found the controls on ebay. You may have shorted something out. Do the lights on the controls work? That would at least tell you if they came unplugged or something simple like that. Try to take out the controls and look to see if you can see anything obviously wrong with them.

 

I do believe the lights work on them, I checked to see if it was unplugged and it was not. I will just see if anyone has one here or in a junkyard.
