modding the sunroof...

i noticed that our sunroofs don't look like they go up very far on the "tilt" function like other cars do. is there a way to make them go up a little farther? maybe a bolt or something on the guard rails?

i get that feeling too...

However I can imagine it being tough to do because if you look at the mechanism and how it works, there is a thing that slides towards the part of the roof which doesn't tilt, it is just a pin, it is at it's furthest point when you tilt it , and there is no more room for it to go.. I think if there was more room it can be made to tilt further, but the rail on which it slides ends and there is no place to extend it. If this really bothers you that much, maybe you can look into some aftermarket sunroofs and find out how far they tilt up. Since your car is already set up for a roof, the installation will probably be much cheaper/easier then having a shop do it on a car with no hole in the roof. You just need a sunroof with the same diameters so it would go perfectly into the factory opening.
But i don't think you would want to go through all that trouble to make the opening an inch bigger
