New 95 Maxima! I have a few ?'s

Ok i just bought a 95 max fully loaded(even heated leather seats)
Its got 72000 miles and i paid 8196. (good deal?)

I have a few questions.

1. To replace the factory bose headunit with an aftermarket one(pioneer), is it nessecary to replace all the speakers? (audio shop said so because the bose system uses mono 1 ohm amplifiers for each speaker, these speakers can only hold a 1ohm load, aftermarket = 4 or 8 ohms)

2. Whats the most performance bang for the buck?
feel free to follow up with your own experiences...

3. Whats the best shock/strut combination for a luxury ride with sports handling? Also i plan to buy 17" or 18" rims, so no lowering.

4. Where can i get replacement factory floor mats(tan)?
( the el cheapo ones i bought from kmart dont match)

5. Is there a maxima club any where near Jackson, Mississippi ?

Re: New 95 Maxima! I have a few ?'s

Welcome to the .org

1. I had my BOSE speakers with 2 12" subs and an aftermarket headunit for 1 year with no problems.

2. Y-pipe.

3. KYB AGX or KONI's (Koni's are more expensive)

4. Nissan?

5. Check your local Forum

Hope this helps,

Erik

1. I tink you can use an adapter

2. Y-pipe, and intake (suspension Mods also)

3. AGX's (I would lower it, does not look right with 18 without lowering)

hey again...

to answer the question that wasn't answered, you can get the exact factory mats for your car from the dealer.....$80 and some change.....or get up on Ebay and buy used, then steam clean 'em.

congrats on your max!

Get an intake and y-pipe, for suspension I use eibach/tokico setup and love it. You Nissan dealer will have the floormats. And I think you should lower the car. Nice rims look even better on a lower car. Congrats on your purchase!

Nice rims do looks nicer on a lowered Maxima, but usually at the expense of overall ride comfort.
