I would avoid getting springs that are then than 150.............quality of materials are not going to be up to par, R & D isnt as much....that stuff...

it would hurt to try 'em after they blow all your struts and you f up your whole suspension.

These springs offer a generous drop to your car while remaining very “streetable” by having enough clearance to avoid bottoming-out; and the lowered center of gravity improves performance and increases stability, as well as enhancing the appearance of the vehicle.
Lowering rate: 2.20" Front & 2.00" Rear
I dont know how streetable they will be. A drop greater then 2" in the front is going to limit the suspension travel and allow bottoming out.
They will be low though. These will definately blow the stock struts/shocks.

Im not going to defend the springs in question because Ive never heard of them, BUT if you shop around you could find some decent deals..

Obviously you get what you pay for and higher end setups will cost more and be of better quality.

^^^ another dumb off topic question by Gman.
is he going for a personal record?
when will he strike again?
Stay tuned!

bun on the spring topic. those are 2.20" front and 2.00" back. since the front is lower the back wouldnt sag it would be ok lookwise but like flav said. will deff bottom out and blow the shocks. notice how the item description does not show the preassure rating of the springs, any decent springs should show the spring rating.
springs are rated by preasure, thats why if u cut or hear ur springs u will deff blow ur shocks cuz even if u remove the same amount of rings from each spring, the preassure ratings wont be the same. to keep from blowing ur shocks just get something with spring ratings that match the recomended ratings for the max.

Whats expensive to you?
The springs you get will help decide on which struts/shocks you should go with. Anything with a great drop I wouldnt go with anything but an adjustable setup. Of course, adjustables will be more expensive then the non adjustables.
All I can say is search the web or browse the GD section.

Gman8990 - You can put aftermarket springs on your stock struts but they won't last long. Depending on the springs, it will determine how fast you would want to wear them out. If you want to "do it right", save up for some new struts. Or just get coilovers now so you don't have to get them later.

Ahmad 1290 - Try to find out the spring rate on those.

I wish I had a Maxima to debunk this myth. I theorize that people's struts are already dead, and they think new springs will improve their ride. Obviously not the case. A well r&d'd spring is meant to work on stock struts. Eibach does. You can't r&d springs for aftermarket struts, there's just too many struts out there to test against.

In my opinion, if u want a spring/strut combo, go with Tokico. And if you're thinking of spending less than $100 on springs, umm... try the for-sale forum for used springs with low mileage.

Well if that is the case, why would Tein S Tech provide such an agressive drop but have a low spring rate in the front. Isn't that asking for blown stock shocks?

You also have a point about people thinking putting on just springs will make there car handle great. If that was the case, might as well cut your stock ones and you will learn fast.

i could maybe de bunk the myth and if they blow buy new ones when they do... i just replaces all of my struts ~1 year ago... i was in an accident that damaged my right front real bad and needed a new strut and i went ahead and replaced them all... hm... so eibachs are supposed to sit on the stocks?

Seriously, SEARCH!
The resources and info are there if you look. Instead of typing a question in a thread, type it in the search field. There is no excuse for you not to now that the search feature is available for FREE to everyone.
BUT FWIW, any spring made for the 4th gen will fit on the 4th gen struts/shock OEM or aftermarket.
Whats is being stated is that the damper ratings of the OEM struts are not designed to handle the spring rates of the aftermarket springs.

And vice versa, aftermarket springs are tested and designed on OEM stock struts.

They have whole spiel on how their springs are not stiff.
