New Rims and tires today

Today i got new tires put on my maxima. Dunlop SP 5000's 235-45-17 and mounted them onto 2002 Nissan Altima SE 17 inch rims...

I got them as a TIP from one of my customers... He put 17 inch chromes on his SE and Gave me the rims... SWEET..

I shot some pics and will post them asap... They really do look good...

Anyone interested in the Stock 99 SE Limited Rims let me know, they are titainium colured, Not Sliver like the stock SE rims... three are in mint condition 9 on a 1-10 scale. the forth is a 7. darn curb...

I have goodyear 215-55-16's on them. two are a 3, and two are a 7.

PS...did you all see the pics of the stillen altima from the SEMA show?? go to altimas.net.... How PHAT is that car... My dealership and i are working on the NISMO/ Smithtown Nissan performance list for the spring...

Re: New Rims and tires today

Bluefish,
I recently got '02 17" Altima rims as well (6-spoke). I don't know if these are the same as yours...they are 17x7". I had thought that the max. width you can put on 7" was 225 mm. I think Nissan actually puts P215/50R17 tires on these. Unfortunately the tire selection is pathetic or expensive. Was looking at SP5000 but because the size is specifically made for OEM Mazda Millenia, it is $185 each! What confuses me is that if you go to Tirerack.com and select 17x7" rims, they will recommend P235/45R17. What is the deal? Is it safe or not to mount tires that wide on a 7" wide rim?

and yeah, pics would be nice! Won't be mounting mine up until Spring time.
