interior light problem (need help)

hey guys,

i was changing my instrument panel light last night and the + - wires touched each other, then i heard a little tick noise from around the fuse box, then all the interior lights went out. now this has happened to me before but usually its the fuse which burns out, but this time its not that, i checked all the fuses in/out the car. everything works but the instrument panel lights, climate control lights and all that stuff. what could it be?

thanks in advance

If the fuses are good you probably fried the dimmer switch.

Give me some time cause I'm not around right now; but I can see if the Haynes manual has the schematics. Unless someone else knows.

Check fuse #18 (7.5Amp).
The fuse numbers are molded into the underdash fuse holder, you have to look very closely to see them. If dimmer switch is blown, as is possible, if you pull out the switch you will probably be able to see damage to the switch.

Double check that you wired the harness correctly.
