Question about keyless entry
This may be a stupid question, but i need to ask.
Ok so my keyless entry remote was lost/thrown away. My car now has a new engine that still won't start. We know the computer is part of the problem (wrong one, trying to figure out which one is for it). My question is: will not having the keyless entry remote prevent the car from starting?
Also, does anybody know what the part number for a 95 SE 5 spd ECU is? There are so many different ones we cant figure out which one we need

What year ECU is in your 95 now??
No, you don't need the keyless entry remote to start the car. However, your car make think the alarm is still on, preventing it from starting. Shot in the dark I know, but it's worth a shot.
Grab your keys.
Lock the doors using the button on the inside of the door.
Shut the door.
Unlock the door using the key, this will effectively turn off the factory alarm.
Try and start the car.
