does your stock shifter blow goats?

yeah i think so. that why i cut mine. but im just gonna get a short shifter.

 

Nope. Got 121,000 miles on the stock tranny and clutch - the only thing I notice is a little roughness going into gears if I am driving like my grandmother. I guess the syncrhos are going but other than that it's fine. I just drive fast to avoid that problem. What in particular blows about yours?

I just let my wife play with mine... So I hope it does not blow goats...


But really the shifter has some massive throws...

yeah it kinda sux i have missed 3 to 4 more than once. sts is on my list.

 

im curious as to where you guys get a short throw shifter ? im doing the auto to 5 speed swap soon , so i might as well get it done now

 

yeah, mine blew...so i did an automatic conversion....

Could be a lot worse...

could be a Neon, or an old SHO's stick..

If you got an STS, you could get rid of those long throws, that plastic-lever feel, and the stock shift ****.

Personally, it's not the end of the world to me, so I'll just probably buy a different, shorter ****.

I got my STS in the other day and cannot wait to install it. I seen one in Vinipux's car installed and looks great. Should be soon i hope.
