Cart starts but then turns off..

Hi this is the problem I am having my 99 Infiniti I 30 (4th Gen Maxima), this is the scenario. The car had low fuel, about 2-3 gallons; the low fuel indicator never came on. I parked the vehicle and since then it would start and engine and run for 2-3 seconds and then turn off. It did this about twice until it would only crank but engine would not start. I thought at first maybe the low fuel in the tank might been problem, I filled reservoir tank and added another gallon of fuel. Car would still not start, I then used some starter fluid canister and the car would start but then after about 2-3 seconds it would turn off. Kinda Clueless, what the problem is. I did notice something odd, when I would put the key into ignition and switch it to ACC/On position the security light becomes solid red, when all the lights in the dashboard light up. I am wondering if this fuel pressure related problem or maybe something with the immobilizer system. Would there be anyway to disable the immobilizer system on the 99??

sorry to say but your key needs reprograming. Do you have a spare (with a chip) to try? I tried bypassing my NVIS (Nissan Vehicle Imobilizer System) when i left my keys in Oregon when i went there on vacation but wasn't able to. so i just waited for my keys to get mailed to me. Unfortunately if you dont have a spare you are going to have to get your car towed to a nissan dealer to have them reprogram the key. I would have a spare cut too while your at it.
