fuel pump wiring

i have already removed a ton of wiring and what not from the car, and i have a full tank of gas in it i have alot of uses for. Anyway, i have no tubes or anything to syphon it out, so im using the pump.

Under the rear seat i cut the harness clean after a few feet, and theres several wires in there. One of them must be the hot and negative for the pump, which i can connect right to the battery sitting on the floor in the back seat.

Anyone know which two wires they are?

Positive is black with yellow stripe, negative (ground) is black.

Careful with the sparks!

Yes, negative is solid black!

Just so you know I'm getting that information from the wiring diagram in the FSM.

i belive the ground is green. The positive is definitely black/yellow. to make sure just take the cover off and look at the plug with only two wires.

Ground is G/R for the 95-97, 98-99 is solid black.

Worked like a charm. Just to clarify yellow and black IS positive. But, negative is slightly different. There are two black wires, one has single silver dashes on it, the second has dual silver dashes. For example:

Black w/ - - - - - is not the ground.

Black w/ -- -- -- -- is the ground.

Thanks guys
