Brakes question price/quality/performance

99 SE MT

My front brake pads are almost due (a few months before the squeaking noise). Also, the rear disks are rusted (noisy when braking; lately I used the hand brake a lot and the noise faded somewhat) and I might have to change them.
I looked on this site:

http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php

and for each of the parts I need (I also looked at rear brake pads - due some time in the future - to save the shipping) I have a long list.
As an example I looked at front brake pads. The prices start at 12.36 and go up to 52.79 with 30 choices. The rear rotor has 8 choices between 19.50 and 56.79.
The car is/will be used as a daily drive by my wife (mostly highway driving in light traffic) and as a weekend car by me (some trips around town) so nothing out of the ordinary.
The question is: Is there a (noticeable) difference between the extreme choices considering the driving conditions?

Thank you in advance.

importrp.com Get brembo blanks and pbr/axxis metal masters for all around. Decently priced and a good setup. When i mean decently priced i mean price against the quality. You do not want to skimp in rotors since cheap ones will warp. Cheap brake pads will not give you enough braking power. metal master is by far the best pad for the majority as it doesn't wear out as fast and has pretty good braking power. However, 4 new sets of rotors and brake pads will run you close to somewhere around $250 shipped in parts.

the deluxe ones wears out the pads too fast, the ultimate wears out the rotor too fast. So metal master is right in between so thats the best bet.

Metal master rear $35 Front $38
brembo blanks Rear $62 for two, Front $72 for two

total 62+72+35+38 = 207 + shipping ($42.06 for ground to va) = $249.06

We have a listing here - http://www.importcarpartsplus.com/maximabrakes.htm Those are all that we can get. If you find another part or brand that is not listed you can let me know and I can try to find it.

Brembo blanks are an excellent choice. There priced right too.

Axxis Metal Masters are good pads, but don't have great initial bite and they are agressive on the rotors.

For your daily driver, def. get the Brembo's then put a set of Wagner Quiet Stop pads on. They have great initial bite, excellent stopping power and dust very little. Lifetime warranty comes with them as well.

I've used cheap rotors on literally 100s of cars and never had one warp.
Pads make a ton more difference than the rotor does when it comes to brake feel.
The wagner ThermoQuiets are a ceramic (like OE) pad on the front and an organic pad on the rear.

Thanks a lot for all the answers!
I'll probably go with one of the cheapest choice for rotors (especially that I'll only change the back ones) and some of the most expensive pads (front and back).
Plus fluid change.

I used CarQuest rotors for like $25 a piece and ceramic pads (Prostop brand) from Pepboys, can't complain- running on this setup fro over 50K miles, brakes still feel like new.
