Mine does that from time to time. (Usually during cold weather)

It will go up to 2500rpm like the IACV is giving it too much air (the throttle is closed).

Sometimes when idling in D, rpm will go up to 700-800 and the car feels like it wants to move or the rpm may stay @ 1500rpm while coasting (when it's usually @ 1K).

It almost seems like a vaccum leak, but i have new gaskets everywhere and everything checks out. It really IS like the IACV goes nuts from time-to-time.

Does that sound similar? Or could it be that your throttle it stuck open abit (is that's even possible)?

The temp in florida really dropped this past teusday and my car too was idling really funny. Went to start the car and it started and boggled down to like 400 and then i had to give it a lil gas and it caught. Driving to classes, when i stop at a stop sign it would idle at 1600 and then go down to 1000/900 then back up again.Later on, in the evening, everything seemed perfectly fine.I am clueless.
