Water Pump... How's This One Look?

Any opinions?

I thought this aluminum one looked pretty good.

First of all, if you are asking which tensioner to replace, you have a lot of research ahead of you on this subject.

And if you are asking about the AZ pump over the Nissan one, well, you should reconsider that. Get the factory pump.

Oem ftw.

OEM pump($80) and OEM tensioner ($60) and get them from DaveB. If you are DIY such a hard job might elsewell get OEM components.

I chose OEM since I shelled out $450 for the replacement from my mechanic.

Consumer Reports has a similar classification:

Engine, major. Engine rebuild or replacement, cylinder head, head gasket, turbo or supercharger, timing chain.

Engine, minor. Oil leaks, timing belt, accessory belts, engine mounts, engine knock or ping.

Water pump sounds like "engine major". But then again, depends on what he's going for. If he just needs the car to last 3 months, which's the length of the water pump warranty, then fine. If it's a keeper, then factory sounds better.
