Shift **** Re-Thread

I just got a new Maxima, so I'm entitled my one newb question

I have been looking at shift ***** for the car since the stock one is sort of ratty and needs replaced. I have a B&M short shifter I'll be putting on, and I understand it has the same 10x1.25mm thread pitch as the factory shifter. The ONE shift **** I want more than any other one made is the Blox/Skunk2 billet shift **** made for Hondas. It ONLY comes in a 10x1.5mm thread pitch, however.

Has anyone ever seen one like this for the Maxima? I mean one JUST like it, as in genuinely carved from a block of billet and is bare metal, not painted. I can't find one with the proper thread pitch to save my life. I am willing to buy one of these genuine ones, however, if I am convinced enough that I can re-thread it to fit on the Maxima's 10x1.25mm thread pitch shifter. Thoughts anyone?

An example of said ****:

Easiest thing to do would be to drill out the **** and helicoil it. That, or just drill out the threads, drill and thread a small hole in the side, and use a set screw (makes it universal, too).

EDIT: Wait, like these two?

The first one is exactly what I want, actually. Skunk2's website doesn't even list that **** with that thread At first I thought maybe the website had the pitch wrong but it says "Nissan" right in the description farther down. Sweet...now I can get exactly what I want

Thanks oh web host of mine

I want it because I've used one before on a 6-speed TSX. It's a GREAT **** that's weighted perfectly and it sits in your hand JUST right. Doesn't look too bad either

The set screw is what my momo used. I put my old AE shift ****, on my ford ranger, just re-threaded the shifter itself!

So I'm looking into buying this shift **** finally. Does anyone know if the B&M short shifter uses the same thread as the stock shifter? I would assume it does. I just want to make sure because I will be putting that short shifter on in the spring and I want to be able to just keep the ****.

yea the B&M uses the same thread pattern as the stock shifter rod. Good luck and post pics when you are done. My friend has that **** on his boosted accord and by far the best feeling **** on the market. It shifts perfectly with the STS and banging gears was great hehehe j/k

Thanks for the input. I actually delayed it slightly due to other priorities with the car, but now I have the knowledge.
