please help!

I foolishly yanked the 3 prongs out of MAF after removin 4 screws.they looked to be soldered. I pulled and cleaned MAF and put back properly. Car started fine but got code 0304 for KS!? I just replaced. Drives like crap! At 2500 RPM it sputters like mad! WTF! Help!

dont worry, ur maf is bad and thats why its doing it. when you took off the connections(which i think should never need to) its not on just right and thats why its not going pass 2500rpm. go to junkyard and get a MAF and ull be ok. dont know if its fixable now that you open it up.

What?

If you ripped the leads out of the MAF and you can't repair it, you need a new MAF.

Why did you try to remove the connector?

I was an idiot. I read a post bout cleaning the MAF...4 screws....ASSumed I needed to pull it. Brilliant move! Another guy said he was havin idle issues...opened the plug and pulled all 3 prongs back and it ran fine!?!? I'm just confused why I'm getting the 0304 KS code if it's my MAF that I f'd. I hope that's all it is.

Is there anyway to repair this? Seems impossible to solder. Another guy has a used one. Prob just easier to replace entire MAF?

Most cars always have th KS code...its a ghost code and it will go away after you replace your MAF...i replaced mine a year or so ago and when i plug up my scanner it still says its there...so don't worry about that just fix your MAF and don't pull anything soldered out of that one
