Just installed front suspension (struts&springs), hearing noise, need help!

I just installed my front suspension (Tokico Illuminas w/ S-techs) it looks real nice, but when i turn the wheel ether way I'm hearing a dut, dut, dut type noise. SO I had my friend turn the steering wheel while I was out side the car and looked at the suspension, it seems like the springs are sliding. The springs are compressed and mounted on the strut, but they're sliding... what did i do wrong?

struts mounts arent clocked correctly or you forgot to put the bearing in. Or your bearings need to be changed

this happened to me before, you gotta take it back apart and make the top of the struts fit right and snug

I love it, I have my adjustments on setting 4 all round, for comparison: (stiffness) it rides similar my friends Z06. You should definatly go with S-techs. I'm amazed it sits perfect. I'm glad I spent the money.

PS: I will post pictures for you today.

Na, I didn't use any grease. I read threw the Handling & suspension sticky, and it didn't say antyhing about grease. This is my first time though, so maybe I missed something.

Yes, I think I know what you're talking about. It's the bushing if i'm correct. It's the rubber piece that makes contact with both the black metal piece and the spring. It's a big piece, and hard to mis-place. Is that the piece you're talking about? If it is, I definatly kept that attached.

I think I'm still missing something, because, though it doesn't make the sound as bad as before, it still makes the same sound, but slightly less. I still haven't had an alignment though, though I doubt that will fix the problem.

Anyone know IF lack of grease might be the/an issue? About to replace mine, too.

I found out that if you regrease the strutmount bearing it will only last about a year. I ended up buying new ones, they run about 30 bucks a piece.
