mother nature meets the v
Thought this was funny. I tore down the intake mani and all that jazz and found this surprise from mother nature. I was going in to change the knock sensor and the rear valve cover gasket. Yes, its a big ole mouse nest and a crap load of food.

My brother had a an 89 isuzu amigo that sat in my grandmas barn on her farm for 2 years when the transmission went out. I took ownership of it and put a new transmission in it, I went to change the air filter and found a mouse nest in there with 4 dead baby mice and smelled like ****. I did not enjoy cleaning that out. Once I got it running, I went to turn the heater on because it was cold, and the blower fan was making a loud grinding sound. I ended up taking the whole dash off and cleaning out insulation that the mice used for a nest in their as well, however there were no dead mice in there, unless they got shredded by the fan.

It makes sense for mice to be there. Its a warm closed-in spot, and I drive this car 100 miles a day. I had a mouse get fried on the exhaust manifold of my old integra too. I was cleaning out my wifes 06 corolla the other day and found her registration all chewed up in the glovebox, with paper shreds all at the bottom. Both of these cars see a mix of garage and driveway parking.
By the way, I don't live on a farm and I've never seen a mouse in or around my house. Weird!!
