another "knock sensor" thread, but look!

Ok, Im not sure if this is in the "how to" thread or somewhere and I know this is a very dumb question, but how do you remove the knock sensor from the wiring??? Im afraid im goin to break it off and be screwed.

Like I said, its a dumb question and im sure it's so easy to do...

IIRC the KS has the PITA metal retaining clip. Just remove the u-shaped clip, and the connector should come right off.

Unclip from the bottom one side at a time then with a flat screw driver pull up.

I guess its that easy, i felt like i was guna snap it into 5 pieces and rip the harness off.

maybe i need to pull harder?

i actually got a little over zealous with it and broke the plastic clip that holds the U shape.

doesnt matter tho, the tension keeps it in place.

well i got it taken care of, and i figured out how easy it was

it was just a matter time before i figured it out....car seems to run a bit stronger now
