There's a purity in older cars that's all but extinct these days. Seems the companies took greater care designing their vehicles and put more thought into the design back then. This video shows this.

Availability of a 5MT and no speed limiter (GXE's only)

body roll is about what you'd expect out of a toyota/lexus. but the more interesting thing is an ES300 5spd?? I had no idea, that setup must be rare as hell.

They definitely wouldn't put this on TV, it caters to a specific group of people (like those on this website)

Dood, in 1992 the es300 had wrap-around projector headlights... It wasn't until the 2002 5.5gen that Maxima got them. And the 5.5gens were costing more than the 92 es300 $25k price. What's up with that?

92 and 93, as far as I know. Did you see them chirp 2nd? LOL, weak tires. Wonder if there's torque steer.

v6 5sp Toyota/Lexus sedans are pretty hard to come by. I have a v6 5sp solara, it's pretty rare, but even more rare are the Camry V6 5sp with factory TRD Superchargers.

I've raced a 96 auto maxima before, and pulled from it, we are both stock. I have the SE with the suspension...they should have used an SE like mine, 5-spd would be faster with a professional driver i think.

Hella nice video. I have a 96 auto GLE and makes me proud to own it.

And I just wanna say that 28mpg highway rating is pretty dead on nuts, i got best of 31mpg on a 5 hour roadtrip going 75mph cruise control set, 2 passengers, luggage and a/c on the entire way on a full tank of 91 octane.

And im sure they meant the 100lbs lighter than the previous VG or VE cast iron engines.

Thanks for uploading this video! It gives me something to add to my maxima documentary/commercial collection in my ipod. Now, I can annoy all my non maxima owner friends with more maxima videos in the avic while driving

Depends on where on the windshield the tint is applied. Supposedly you can get the top couple inches done, for sun protection. I'm not sure how many inches, I though it was 6". Doing the whole windshield is a no-no.

Unless of course, u have a doctor's prescription.

I can't view the vid. at work, I'll have to try tonight. But this reminds me, last weekend I was going through some old .mpg files on my computer and I came across that one commercial with the pigeons who chase the Black Maxima which just exited the car wash, with the intent of 'bombing' it. Pretty funny.

Great video post.

Maxima's and cone dodging - I always thought Barry Chafin was the first to try that

Loved most of the video except where he holds up the rear axle and the control link. I lost my lunch hearing about performance and keeping the tires "glued" to the road with our built in toe-in.
