just had axles replaced, never did this before axles.
doesn't shudder when not accelerating, just when accelerating between certain lower speeds. At high speeds i don't feel any shudder. Alignment needed? something else?

Not much to go on. Is the shudder seeming to be the engine misfiring, or just a vibration in the front end. ? Are you MT or Auto ? Could be motor mounts. Were the old axles noisy or just bad boots ? Really need more info to more than list guesses.
mine does the same thing after axle replacement. im auto. my axels popped around corners, and were tore other than that they were fine. its just a vibration. ive had 3 mechanics look at it and none of them knows what it is

not engine either, this began to happen immediately after axles were replaced. by shudder, i mean, the steering wheel vibrates excessively between 10 and 35 mph on acceleration. there is no vibration while coasting either. If i'm coasting at 20mph and then i accelerate, the wheel will shudder. If i'm coasting at 45 and i accelerate, there will be no shudder. For reasons unknown to me, it only occurs at lower speeds. When i'm on the freeway, i have no vibrations which is why i was confused by it because if it was alignment i would think that i would feel it most at freeway speeds.

the same hear, only from a stop up till about 20mph. mines not that bad, just annoying at first. now im used to it though. I know mines not an alignment issue because I have had 2 done since the axle swap.

i have a shuttering problem to but its torque converter chatter it sounds like the same.Also ive been told that BG synthetic trans fluid can help torque converter chatter but i have never flushed it since i only have 10k miles on the fluid in there now.

bad axle .... like everyone here has mentioned. I also agree that it is the inner joint on whichever axle it is (or both). Did you get your axles from Raxles? See .... if you would have, there would be none of this vibration / shuttering crap at all. Buy 'remaned' Autozone parts and see ... this is what you get. Raxles FTMFW!!!!!
look at your hub! it is very much so possible to warp your hub which would also cause a vibration and shudder. if that is the case expect to replace your wheel bearings again soon! warped hub would be caused by someone trying to remove the main axle nut without air tools and having to pry against the lugs to counteract axle nut rotation... just a thought! also... my more realistic guess is that if your mt... you probably warped your flywheel. with a warped flywheel your car will shudder like crazy at low speeds/gears where you have enough torque for the clutch to slip on a warped flywheel. i am currently experiencing the warped flywheel problem and your description of your problem sounds very similar. i would almost bet money that its your flywheel and not a motor mount. my motor mounts made a loud thud sound when they went out and it would happen under acceleration and decceleration. with the flywheel it would make sense that you only notice it at low speeds/gears because you prob don't have the horsepower or torque to slip the clutch in anything past 2nd or 3rd gear.

First off ... welcome to the .Org mate.
Now with that out of the way, WTF are you gabbing on about? You don't seem to understand what you are talking about here. A clutch / flywheel issue is not even the topic here - so as much as you want to go on about that, it's pointless. As far as you thinking it's a hub - since when can you warp the hub so much it would cause vibration? I could see a bad wheel bearing (but that is not what the OP was asking / talking about) making noise, but not causing vibration. Not to mention that a bad wheel bearing makes a growling sound to top it all off. Perhaps you should just read more and not post just yet.
Dont be rude! everything i've stated was out of experience in the last 3 weeks! when your wheel bearing gets bad enough your entire hub can move around up to probably 3/4" and you think that wouldn't cause a vibration? the ball bearings will overheat get mis-shapped and then start to overlap each other until there is nothing left but shards of metal inside the outer race. and no i do not think that his problem is wheel bearing related because slow speeds wouldn't make any difference. trust me on this i replaced my passenger side last saturday and my drivers side 2 weeks ago. and both had gotten bad enough to warp the hub and ruin the entire steering knuckle.(NOTE TO ALL: NEVER CONTINUE TO DRIVE ON A BAD WHEEL BEARING!)
rxm6- i've got extra axles for both right and left side. they are left over from my vlsd tranny swap. they were in perfect condition when i took them out and were purchased from the dealership 2 years ago.(6 months of which the car sat in storage) if your interested in buying them and saving some cash just shoot me a pm i'm sure we can find a price that works for us both...

axles are from raxles and they were professionally installed along with everything else by a very qualified nissan-only mechanic I have used for years on all of my cars
I have an at and t_ahan's torque converter chatter theory sounds interesting. I've never had my at fluid flushed or replaced for that matter and i should really check that out, which i will do tonight.

Glad my write up helped you out. That is why I am here. As for your post above .... you go on thinking what ever the F you wanna man. Your opinion means jack **** to me dude. If you think that first comment was rude, too bad I guess. I'm not on here to "shotgun" parts into a car. Your idea of the hub going bad is a bit extreme IMO. If you can't tell a bad hub (and you obviousley didn't know it untill it had gotten WAY bad) by the sound of it, you're not a mechanic. As I said before, a bad hub makes a groaning sound - most people will notice and look into the noise before it gets too bad ... but in your case, you let it go from the sounds of it.
