I'm a college student. I only make a few trips a week and the occasional 150 drive back home.

High mileage

My 97 4th gen has +242,000. My 93 accord has 314,000 (had to just pull the head to replace a burnt valve), 98 dodge has 192,000 had to have the tranny rebuilt, and my 84 HD has 90,000 on the lower end. With all that the most expensive thing with tires is my ZTR lawn mower.

Soon I'll be up in the 200k's. Not that I should care, I mean its going to be harder to keep it on the road, stupid previous owners!!!

I bought mine used with 98k on it. 1st owner was female, she bought it new when she graduated from undergrad. Long commutes, and didn't wanna hassle w/repairs, so she got the Gold Warranty: unconditional 100,000 mile 6yr extended warranty. Every 3000 miles it was in the dealership for routine maintenance, all paid for w/that crazy awesome warranty (too bad they don't offer anymore). Oh yeah, it was her first 5sp car too, and the clutch had plenty of life left when I got it.

I've taken care of the car and at 223k, it's still a champ. If I could sell to someone else, I would... but right now, I'm parting out absolutely everything. Anybody want a full grey cloth interior in mint condition?

My 1996 has 117,000 miles on it, and I love the car. I got the car for free, and I intended to sell soon after. But now that I have had it for over two years, the cra just keeps getting better. I just wish the rust would hold off.
