Anyone interested in "Monkey Bars"?
I have a guy that is going to make a custom "roll bar" for my Max. He says he can mass produce (on a order by order basis) these same bars. I am not asking for a commitment, just trying to feel out the want for them. The asking price for the real "Monkey Bars" on the Autobahn website is $440.00 a set. Ours will be much less expensive. Please let me know. I hope to have the first one made and installed before Hot Import Nights (December 1st). One last thing, these will be ready to finish. In other words, you can have them painted to match your car or have them dipped in chrome.

I would be down for this. But hopefully it's better than the real Monkey bars because those are pretty useless. They're for show only. Will these roll bars be made to proper specs? Tube thickness, etc.

I haven't met with the guy yet. When I spoke to him today, his contact points were going to be the floor board just behind the seats and to the left and right of the speakers... I will find out about tube thickness and etc.... he did say that when they were sold that he was going to have the usual disclaimer that they were for show use only and not intended to protect you against rollover...

Monkey bars are usless like Jeff said. Just sit there without any weldings to the floor. You will need aleast a 6 point bar to be of some use. I have been researching this and a fully functional custom bar will run ~$1500 installed. Check here for some custom roll bar.

Now I don't give in to the stupid rice boys who wanna race. Either swallow your pride, or risk dying. Easy choice.
