Interested in Clearing Out Tails?

Well, after many many times of practicing, I have perfected my knowledge of clearing out the tails on 97-99 Maximas. I might just be going into business offering to do this. I am wondering what the market is out there, how many people are interested, etc. Depending how much I can get the parts for you, I will only charge very little to do the actual labor. So, is anyone interested? I figured, if I were to do this, I would need at least 10 people interested in it. Thanks all.

good luck.. greg and i have been doing them for a while now.. and the market is there.. just not everyone is willing to pay for them..

a) you can do two things, you can offer to clear people's lights for a small fee.. they pay shipping both ways..

b) you can buy brand new lights from a dealership and do them that way.. its easier to use dealership lights because the glue is new and much easier to take the lights apart. What you would need to do is establish a link with your local dealership or some dealership to get you a good deal on prices on lights.. because they retail for $100 each.. and two lights are $200 before modification... Greg charges $195 before shipping and i charge $170 .. so you know its little or no profit there.. but people still b!tch and moan that $170 is too much.. but hey good luck..

oh by the way.. greg and i chooose option B.. hope this helps you out..

Hey Sprint,
How willing was the dealership to work out a deal with you? How much do they now sell them to you for? Just curious

yeah SprintMax is right, their is not much profit in there for it because the lights from the dealership are quite expensive. I buy them 100 pairs at a time to get any kind of decent discount. The market for them used to be more demanding then it is now, since the altezzas for 97-99 maxima's came out my sales on the Red/Clear taillights have dropped by 50%.

Man, it sure would kick *** if they started making Red/clears for the 95-96 Max. We have it rough.

Altezza's cut your business down 50% !? Man, and those things are so damn ugly on a Max...

yeah i am not to fond of the altezzas either, but looks like alot of people are. I get tons of requests for red/clears for 95-96 maximas. So if anyone can make some even though their are no more clear taillights to modify please let me know.
