if you got a 97+ you can make your corner lights brighter by taking out the bulbs and snipping the top nub off of them, and putting them back in backwards.. its totally free, and makes them much brighter!

But he doesn't have a 97+ does he Newbie. . This fella happens to have the quicker of the bunch.

Justin, just give her a good wash/wax/vaccuming and it'll make you feel good. Not much you can do to a '95's stock parts except enjoy them.

Let's see now...his sig says Justin95SE, hmmmm...his name is prolly Justin, he prolly has an SE and let see those numbers...95, could it be he own's a 1995 Maxima SE...but of course...

Justin...you can do the foglight rewire so your fogs come on with only your parking lights and do the turn signal mod so the small corner lights light and alternate with the signal...you can find that and more on MaximaDriver.com.

do what to your lights?
I guess you can also take a base ball bats to all the corners and smash out the plastic... that makes them brighter as well..(where did this guy come from)

The fog light re-wire looks cool, you can also re wire your front blnikers to the side marker piece so they blink together. that looks nice too. There are side markers that are put in the fender, strobes, neons...

Re: i am bored, broke and wanna do something to my car

I did it on my 96 SE, reverse the bulbs in the front side markers, shave off one side of the bulb's notch so it can fit, it will be brighter. If u feel, take off the "Nissan" or maxima logo from the back. Rewire Rewire Rewire, whatever you want, we'll help with the "how to". Plus as mentioned b4, wash, wax. Not i'm not sure of this but I think i heard that there is a way to make the 95-99 headlights have a black area around the inside, to make em like AE headlights, u have to put em in the over. I don't know aboutthat last one for sure

About reversing the bulbs.... can anyone help me out here? I searched for this but didn't get much info...So while we are on this topic...
Let me get this straight....

You shave the nips on the SIDE of the bulbs? the ones that are used to help hold the bulb in place as put it into the socket? You do this with the regular 1156 (?) bulb that is stock on the parking/clearence lights?

Also,
why do people say it's bad?
is it better to upgrade the fuse as you do this?

thanks.
I'm trying to make my corners bright as well.

Well i don't know the most about this stuff, but i'm learning. From what i know is, it gets really hot, and i wouldn't doubt that the bulb will blow in like a month or 2, i haven;t had a prob with my fuses, it's not the fuses giving out my power i don't think, only the bulb, i could be wrong

Got sandpaper? Rub down the top radiator mounting brackets (or any slightly weathered looking brackets) to bare metal, polish em' up and clear coat them. Done properly they look really good, but if done badly just paint over them black because they can look nasty as *****

Change out the mid-link and end link bushings from the soft rubber ones to urethane bushings (make sure to lube the mid link ones on the inside or they'll squelch with Stay-Lube) Find out the diameter on your front sway bar and then go to your local parts store for these items. You will see a noticable improvement in cornering and steering response.

it will take some pulling to get them out, try not to break it, i was unsure with the first one, got better each time, the backs are a tad harder, you have to pull back the lining to get the piece started, but you can do it! tell me how things go and post pics if you can

it didnt at all, heating it up helps, even after 6 years the paint matches quite well, btw keeping it in one piece makes it much easier to remove, the first one i tore it in like 8 pieces, not fun, but by the last one i could get it off as one piece which saved time, also make sure to wax it when you are done
