I don't know if its my luck or what, since last 2 month, something or the other keep breaking up on my maxima. Its 1995 GLE with Auto Tranny.
Now car is throwing up 0505 Idle control circuit malfunction. I did some search, and found that people end up replacing valve and ECU.
I am wondering if any one can please let me know steps to trouble shoot this problem so I dont throw unnecessary parts at it. I took IACV out and cleaned up 8K miles back so I know its not clogged.

the ecm is most likely not the issue although it wouldn't hurt to check. my guess its a bad harness or maybe the valve shaft in the IACV-aac malfunctioned or something, thus would need to get a new iacv.

do you have a copy of the FSM for you max? it tells you all the diagnosing procedures for symptom P0505
