My bent lip

I brought a new full stillen kit on craigslist not that long ago and stuck in my basement but today while looking closer at the kit I notice the bottom part of the front lip is bent, could I used a heating gun or hair blower to straighten it? Take a look

i have heard that heating will return urethane to it's original shape, but i've never seen results. might as well try it. what's the worst that can happen?

Leave it outside in direct sunlight for a few days, one of the properties that polyurethane has is that it has a "memory" and will return to it's original shape once it's been heated and then cooled down a few times.

It will turn to ice if I leave it outside.

Stillen will sell me a new one for $159 but that wipes out any good deal I got It doesn't look that bad on the bumper and some might not even notices. Anyways I'll hit it with the heating gun at work.

a space heater might be a better option. less focused heat.

A heat gun will work just fine...I've done it successfully.

Just make sure that you dont heat it TOO much....just enough to form it a bit.
