Antena

Broke my antena @ a car wash the other day. Can I get a repair kit? If not were can I get a replacement? I'm affraid that if I pick one up like at wal mart or something it won't get a good signal. Is there anything sould look for when purchasing.
Thank for the Help

sorry I know that's not nice...its just nice to know I'm not the only one who's done this...To have my mast replaced it cost me $140 from my mechanic..and he ordered the part. I'm sure you could find one of those little short 1 foot rubber antennas to replace it with if you want...My b/f has a cheap one he got for like $15 and it has pretty good reception....couldn't tell ya the brand tho.

I don't think it's that critical, as long as the new antenna has the similar length, which determines what frequency band it receives the best. Anyway it's a compromise between AM (535 KHz to 1605 KHz) and FM (88MHz to 108MHz). For reality, when I just turned on the radio and the antenna was not even 1/3 way out, I already received good local station signals.
