Car not starting / stalling again!

http://forums.maxima.org/4th-generat...ng-issues.html

This is the link to my old thread. We replaced the IACV gasket and cleaned it all out and it worked for like 3 months. And now we are running into the same problem again. The car doesn't want to start or the car stalls out.

I am getting sick of this and may just drop it off at a shop.

No codes again either.

Anyone got any ideas?

Have you checked your fuel pump? Sometimes you can hear it prime on startup, but its not enough pressure all the time to start the car, or keep it running. And a bad fuel pump wont trigger a CEL as far as i know.

When it doesn't want to start are you not getting fuel, spark, what? By fuel of course I mean you're getting fuel to the rail, but not through the injectors.

Personally first thing I'd do (after checking for what's keeping it from starting) is to check is signals from CPS, CKPS POS and CKPS REF.

Of course all of your usual electrical checks, specifically to the above sensors and the grounds on the LIM. On any other year next thing I'd try is another ECU, but that sucks for a '99.

Yesterday my dad drove the car around and had no problems.

My brother said when he was backing out of the driveway he saw the rpms dip (like go down really low and pop back up) and then the car just stalled out...

How about making your own thread? Or using the newbie thread?

And when you post it elsewhere, specify whether you're talking about the 5th gen or your 4th gen.

Ok guys the problem keeps coming back. He was telling me today that he was pulling into a parking spot lastnight and the car stalled out. He started it back up and the rpms dipped and spiked and then it was fine.

My parents are getting sick of this problem, and they want to bring the car to the shop.
