Speaker Rattles??

Alright so ive actually got a few questions:
1st - when i crank my system, ive got some rattles/buzzes whatever you wanna call em in my door. HOW DO I FIX THESE???? im tinting my windows to %5 so ill have my doors torn apart.
2nd - what would be the next step from bose as far as front speakers and tweeters? also would it be wise to take our rear deck speakers and suspend subs?

Ok, for #1, the speaker doesnt rattle (maybe it does, thats when you tighten the screws around the speaker), its the dust protectors, there like a small screen. I would remove them, because dirt/dust can get around the speakers, which will start to ruin them. You can glue the "screen" part to the sides of the speaker. Or you can remove it.

#2, I dont know really. Its really your choice, ask a audio shop.

#3, Its the amp, your amp is drawing alot of power directly from your battery, so when theres alot of base, it will dim almost everytime its turned up. Mine does it, and I know exactly why. You need a automotive ausio capacitor. Circuit City had some good ones, they look kinda like small bombs, but there just large capacitors, but they went out of business, so here http://www.allaudioexpo.com/i/pyle_p...l_power_c.html .
A how-to guide http://www.caraudiomag.com/technical...ors/index.html

Hope this helps you both!

number one... sound deadening.
number two... anything is better than stock blose. Check the audio forum on this board. Many will swear by rainbow.
But... in order to give you something you can work with... you should have suggested your budget.
And... it really depends on what you want to do with your system. Some members have gone with a really really solid front stage and eliminated the rear speakers completely. They have also gone with an ib (infinite baffle) sub.

There are tons of options and your thread was kinda vague. Hit up the audio forum. Read the stickies. Most of your questions should be answered there.

Mk so I don't wanna spend much more than 100 if posible. I hear rainbow is good? Also for clarification the rattle buzz noises are coming from my doors near the middle, not the speakers themselves

you can buy a capacitor for 100 if you shop around. (that will deff fix the dimming and will make your system sound better). the brand isnt to essential, they all work about just as well.

that rattle could be the foam blocks in the door. idk what they are for but i took them out.

you can buy a pair of decent component speakers for the front doors for about 100 a pair (again u gotta shop around)

Ohh, I dont know about that, you must have a loose clip (the clips hold the door panel on). I have some on my passenger side, best way to fix it, is to take them off the door, and put them back on the door panel. Can you get any video's of it rattling?

Edit: ThreePointO, I just said that. But he/she can get a capacitor for some where near$40.-+

your speaker could also be blown, the ring around the cone could be broken

From what I hear, caps don't really do all that much. Get a grounding kit and better/more powerful/deeper cycle battery and that should fix it.

Unless you're running like 2k watts into your sub...

What's going to be better than what? Are you looking for suggestions for a set of comps for your front stage?

If so, go the audio forum (like someone said before me) and ask for their advice. Be sure to mention what size you want (if any), how much power you're going for, and most importantly a price limit.

Edit: It sounds like it's your door panel that's shaking/vibrating. You can try tightening all the screws and see if that helps...or you could put double-sided sticky tape around the edges where the door panel meets the door to try to keep it from vibrating.

I wish there was some type of Definitive Rattling fix thread where various users pinpoint their own experiences with specific rattling locations/parts and their fixes. My gf is complaining cuz i make her drive to places while i sit in the back seat...:P

I also have that same exact problem with my ride. When all of the accessories are turned on - the headlights, fog lamps, stereo, aircon, etc. my lights specifically the one in my instrument panel gets really dim. I wonder what's the problem. There was in fact an instance, when my battery got drained. What seems to be causing this problem?
