Cold Start problems!

Cold Start problems!
Hi guys,
I've just bought my foirst Maxima, a 1998 base model. I love it except!!!, that it has an annoying intermittent cold start problem.
Sometimes the car won't catch unless I give it a little gas. The dealer gave me new plugs and new filters(air and fuel) I figured it had to be dirt in the fuel system from sitting. Once the car catches it is fine, it idle and drives fine. My cold idle is about 1200rpm and warm about 600rpm.
I'm going to run some fuel system cleaner through it this weekend and I have an appointment to have the car looked at again next week.
Has anobody had similar problems, something funky that would normally be overlooked?
Thanks for your help. I like going into service with some idea of what it could be.

Pull a spark plug and check if it's NGK. So far this year, although it hasn't reached sub-zero temps yet, my starting is much better since taking out Bosch Platinums and replacing them with NGK. Only had the Bosch's for a few months but had starting problems throughout...

During over 5 years of driving my 96 GXE, I haved encountered two times of only cranking but not starting. Were not very cold days but were in winter mornings. Dealer said just give a little gas. I did it and were all fine afterwards. It reminded me of how to start old domestic cars.
