1998 Max for 1800?

Hey guys im looking for a car that i can beat up and mess around with for the next year...

i am looking around and there is a 98 max with 100k miles for $1800...

Is there alot of performance mods available for this car? is it a cheap car to maintain?

what should i look for if i go out and test drive it??

#1. Great choice of vehicle for what you are looking for.
#2. 1800 is a little stretch for a 98 atleast with only 100k. I think youre more in the 95-96 with about 120k for that range but you may luck up.
#3. Yes mods are almost infinite, you have 3.5 swap, variable manifolds, intake , exhaust, pulley, super charger, turbo.
#4. Personally mine is relatively cheap to maintain. 215k ive only replaced axles @ $69 new. 02 sensors $100. and do it your self mobil oil change.

GOOD luck

damn where you people find it so cheap. i would buy it if the body its in good condition. this car runs strong you won't regret. that's a good price.

My last Maxima was a 98. They are very solid and possibly the best combination of reliable, fast and cheap on the road. $1800 is a great price and I'd buy it even if I didn't need it.

If cars rust where you are at check the lower radiator mount.

Im fixin to pu a 95 with 112k miles for $2000 (was 1800, but i told him id pay for the radiator replace). It took me a long time to find this deal, and I actually asked the guy if he was selling it.
