5-speed transmission replacement question

I need to replace the tranny in my 99 SE 5-speed, and want to know specifically if it makes a difference if the new tranny came from an ABS or non-ABS car. Mine doesn't have ABS, and no limited slip (obviously).

I tried searching, but "ABS" is too short and I get nowhere.

I fail to see what ABS brakes have to do with a manual transmission.

No difference in the transmissions.

No difference at all. If you're looking for a bit of an upgrade, look for a VLSD trans and axle.

When I bought axles a while back, they asked me if my car had ABS or not. I thought it was just for the axle clip or something, but I thought I'd ask just in case. So any 95-99 5-speed will work fine, right?

they ask because if the car has abs there will be a ring near the outer joint right where it goes into the hub for the sensor to read off.

If your car doesn't have ABS, you can use either. If your car does have ABS, you can use either, but only the ABS axle will keep the system operational.
