I have a little problem, my parking brake handle is very tight. I have a girl who will be driving my car all the time soon and she can't even get the parking brake off after I set it. Is there a way I can loosen it or should I just tell her to hit the gym?

I see a little ummm... bolt thingy that looks like it would be used to adjust the strength needed but I don't want to touch anything unless I know.
