Hey what's up everyone, i've been here reading the posts for the past couple months, now i finally joined....... Just wondering, what's a good mod mod(s) to start off with for my auto 97 max.... In about a year or so, i will be swapping it to a manual, so don't flame!

 

A few cheap and basic things you should consider:
1. Intake. Either a generic cone intake or a JWT pop-charger (www.CustomMaxima.com).
2. Strut bar. Trust me it does wonders for handling.
3. Stillen/Vortech SuperCharger . (j/k)

CAI, Y-pipe, FSTB, RSB. If you plan on lowering your car get the KYB AGX's (These shocks were just released and there is nothing but great comments on them). Depending on your preference in ride quality and drop there are quite of few springs to choose from.

 

Also clear out your tails.

 

Can't afford a S/C yet Anyone know about those turbo rumors? Anyone know when they're going to be released? About how much would it cost for a 5 speed tranny swap with LSD/without LSD? Thx, of course clear corners are first though

 

LSD tranny .. $650.. Labor probably run you 300..

i would say the first and best mod is Y pipe..

 

Sprint where do you get these prices ?? All the places I check usually run 1,000-1600 for just the basic tranny. Labor ? Most if not all shops won't even do this conversion becuase they are too lazy and it's a LONG job. 300, more like 1,200 unless it's a close friend in the business!
