Anyone know of some good places to get the kits?

GT Transmissions in atlanta, Transtar, Rockland Standard Gear, etc.

If you're doing an open diff, ask for kit BK-182D. I think the VLSD kit is a BK-182E

I used GT Transmissions, good to deal with and fair priced. I got the kit w/o syncroz shipped for ~$210 or so.

I just called them looking for a bareing kit for my 4th gen 5MT... $225 shipped for just the bareing kit.

Look at Ebay ... $300 + ..... shop around, see if you can find a better deal. That's just who I used.

Wow .... that's hella good prices mate! Ask what kind of bearings they are in the kit. Are they NTN ??? NTN is Japan bearings ... that is what GT Trans sends out. Either way, not a bad deal at all.

RS Gear kits are a mishmash of Nachi, NTN, SKF, and some generic brand.
