Our 1997 Maxima has developed a problem with cold starts. First time it is started after sitting overnight it run a couple of seconds and then dies. Same for the second try unless you quickley give it some gas after it starts. Generaly after the third try it will keep running. Once its been driven and warmed up the problem is gone for the day.

I supect the cold start injecter or somthing to do with it (temperature sensor?). Could this be caused by weak a battery?

yeah i had some problems too, i started the car, (kinda started weird) and then i like stapped the gas at like 3000 RPMS and when i looked back there was like smoke and stuff!! i was like WTF? i dont think its doing it any more, but u gotta wait a couple minutes to let the car breeth...
