asked my mechanic about the 3.5 swap

asked my mechanic about the 3.5 swap and he looked at me as if i was crazy said it want possible. hes a decent friend of mine so i know hes not lieing. i think he belives it not. i also went to the junk yard here in new york and they said the same. ive read ive searched and it came up a ton of members that have this. can anyone help me out on what excatly has to be done so i can rely it to my buddy.

all ive been getting is a members list nothing direct about the swap. btw what branch are you bro i served as well. hope you stay save if you go to the sandbox.

You can do one of two things...you can do a complete swap harness and all which is a biiiggg hassle..or you put the change the timing to the 3.0 timing put in the injector clips since de are side feed and you should be good it's not as easy as it sounds though you have to be very careful...if you go into the stickys of all motor I believe there's a write up for it

I see your here in NY I can recommend 3 exccellentttt people who have done countless 3.5 swaps into 4th gens. If your interested let me know and I'll put you in contact with them.

yeah, there's alot of people out there that dont want to do this cause of all of the things that can potentially go wrong and they really dont want you coming back 16 times to adjust and tune the engine. and they probably just dont have the expierience to handle the job, period.

not trying to detur you from this but, is there any reason your stock 3.0, wont last? i know mine has maybe 50-60k miles left but im just planning on this in a few years itll be like a hole new car that way i can save up for it, but i have the same problems with the search lately
